R. James Toussaint, MD, associate professor and chief of the foot and ankle division at UF Orthopaedics, is using 3D printing technology in total talus and ankle replacement surgery. The 3D printed talus is composed of cobalt and chrome alloy customized to the patient specific anatomy. This allows for a faster recovery and excellent range of motion after surgery.
