He earned a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science with a minor in Business Administration from the University of South Carolina in 2023. During his undergraduate education, Holden served as an athletic training intern with the Gamecock baseball program during the 2024 season, where he assisted in the prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of Division I student-athletes. This experience solidified his passion for athletic training and inspired him to pursue a career in sports medicine.
Following his undergraduate studies, Holden returned to his hometown of Charleston, South Carolina, to attend Charleston Southern University, where he earned his Master of Athletic Training degree in May 2026. Throughout his graduate education, he gained experience caring for a diverse athletic population through clinical rotations with Charleston Southern's football, baseball, and women's basketball teams, as well as a high school outreach rotation at Hanahan High School. These experiences allowed him to develop expertise in the evaluation and management of a wide range of orthopedic and musculoskeletal injuries.
