About Brooke Sachau

Brooke Sachau, MA, LAT, ATC is an Athletic Training Resident with the University of Florida Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine while pursuing her Doctor of Athletic Training degree at the University of Florida with a concentration in Orthopedics. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training from the William Paterson University of New Jersey, graduating Summa Cum Laude, where she was also a three-year member of the university's women's soccer team. During her undergraduate education, Brooke completed internships with Rutgers Football, the New York Giants, and NJ/NY Gotham FC of the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL), gaining valuable experience in collegiate and professional sports medicine. She later earned her Master of Arts in Sport and Recreation Management degree from the University of Iowa while serving as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer, providing medical coverage for NCAA Division I Hawkeye football, track and field, and cross country student-athletes. 

Following graduate school, Brooke completed a post-professional Athletic Training Residency at University of Iowa Health Care, where she specialized in orthopedic and sports medicine care. During her residency, she worked alongside orthopedic surgeons and sports medicine physicians, participating in patient evaluations, radiology interpretation, and serving as a surgical first assist, further developing her expertise in physician practice and orthopedic care. 

Brooke is a Board of Certification (BOC) Certified Athletic Trainer and is licensed to practice athletic training in both Florida and Iowa. She is CPR/AED certified as both a provider and instructor through the American Red Cross and has completed advanced training in Integrative Dry Needling. Brooke is an active member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA) and the Athletic Trainers in the Physician Practice Society (ATPPS). When she is not caring for patients, Brooke enjoys spending time with her dog, Gator.
