Biomechanics and Motion Analysis Laboratory

The Biomechanical Motion and Analysis Laboratory is used in the diagnosis of disorders related to human locomotion and in developing and testing the effectiveness of rehabilitation programs. It is also used to evaluate a patient before and after surgery, such as ACL repair, to measure improvement and outcome.

This facility features a 3D motion capture system that uses the same advanced technology as leading video game developers and major animation studios. This state-of-the-art technology allows for the evaluation of musculoskeletal performance in athletes and patients.
