About Ed Schaeffer
Ed is currently pursuing his Doctorate in Athletic Training at the University of Florida. While pursuing his doctorate, he is serving as the athletic trainer at Newberry High School.
He is from Illinois and brings several years of experience in athletic training. He got his start as a student at Adrian College where he earned a bachelor’s in exercise science in 2016 and a master’s in athletic training in 2017.
After finishing his degrees, he began working at Albion College as an assistant athletic trainer in 2017. Over six years with the Brits, he provided injury protection to student-athletes, supervised athletic training student workers, managed secondary insurance, and worked directly with 11 different programs.
After finishing his time at Albion College in 2023, he began to work with the Air Force Special Operations group. He worked in conjunction with physical therapists and strength and conditioning specialists to help Air Commandos stay in the fight.
In his free time, Schaeffer likes to play hockey, fishing, and golf. He helped Adrian College win three ACHA DIII national championships.
