About Cassie Winkfield
Cassie Winkfield joined UF Health Orthopaedics in 2014 and currently serves as the Athletic Training Outreach South Site Manager. Her responsibilities include management of outreach athletic training staff and doctorate of athletic training residents. She spends part of her time working as a clinical athletic trainer in The Orthopaedic Sports Surgery Medicine clinic. She also works as a supervising athletic trainer to high school resident athletic trainers at Buchholz High School, Gainesville High School, Fort White High School, and Alachua County Float.
Cassie grew up in Iowa and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Athletic Training from University of Northern Iowa. Cassie then completed a year internship at Charleston Southern University as an assistant athletic trainer with the football and softball teams. While at CSU, she was awarded the SEATA Collegiate Athletic Training staff of the year. In 2011, she earned her Master's of Science from the University of Kentucky.
Cassie is a nationally certified and a licensed Athletic Trainer in the state of Florida. She is a member of the Athletic Training Association of Florida, Southeast Athletic Trainers Association, National Athletic Trainers Association, and Athletic Trainers in Physician Practice Society. She currently serves at the National level as the liaison for the National Association of Orthopedic Technologists (NAOT).
In her free time, she enjoys to read and spend time with her husband Dominique and two children, Liam and Ava.
