Cassie Winkfield, MS, LAT, ATC, BCS-O

Cassie Winkfield joined UF Health Orthopaedics in 2014 and currently serves as the Athletic Training Outreach South Site Manager. In this role, she oversees outreach athletic training staff and doctorate of athletic training residents while continuing to practice clinically in the Orthopaedic Sports Surgery Medicine Clinic.  She also serves as a supervising athletic trainer for high school resident athletic trainers at Buchholz High School, Gainesville High School, and Alachua County Float.

Originally from Iowa, Cassie earned her Bachelor of Arts in Athletic Training from the University of Northern Iowa. She then completed a year long internship at Charleston Southern University, working with the football and softball programs. During her time at CSU, the staff was recognized as the SEATA Collegiate Athletic Training Staff of the Year. In 2011, she earned her Master of Science degree from the University of Kentucky.

Cassie is nationally certified and licensed athletic trainer in the state of Florida. She is an active member of the Athletic Trainers' Association of Florida, Southeast Athletic Trainers' Association, National Athletic Trainers' Association, and Athletic Trainers in the Physician Practice Society. She currently serves on the Annual Conference Committee for Athletic Trainers in Physician Practice Society and on the Council on Practice Advancement Committee for Athletic Trainers' Association of Florida.

Outside of work, Cassie enjoys reading, being outdoors, and spending time with her husband and their two children.
