About Will Cosby
Will Cosby joined UF Health Orthopaedics in 2024 and currently operates as Clinical Athletic Trainer and Physician Extender at the UF Health Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine Institute in Gainesville. In this role, he assists physicians and other advanced providers with day to day patient care and clinical operations. He works and collaborates across multiple specialties including Sports Medicine, Sports Surgery, Hand & Upper Extremity Surgery, and Orthopaedic Trauma Surgery.
Originally from Hilton Head, South Carolina, Will earned his Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from the University of South Carolina in 2019 with honors. He then worked for 3 years in outpatient rehabilitation in Fairfax, Virginia providing care to patients of all ages, disciplines, and backgrounds. He then completed his Doctorate of Athletic Training at the University of Florida in 2024 with a concentration in Orthopaedics and decided to stay in Gainesville.
Will is nationally certified by the Board of Certification and a licensed athletic trainer in the state of Florida. He is an active member of the Athletic Trainers' Association of Florida, Southeast Athletic Trainers' Association, and the National Athletic Trainers' Association. He is a Certified Orthopedic Physician Extender via the National Board for Certification in the Orthopedic Specialties.
Outside of work, Will enjoys exercising at Gainesville Health & Fitness, going to the movies, rooting on Gamecock/Gator sports teams, and spending time with friends and family. He and his wife are avid travelers with an itch to get on a plane.
