Physician Liaisons

Providing outstanding service for referring physicians and their patients

We recognize navigating a very large Academic Medical Center can be daunting. Our physician liaisons are here to assist you wherever possible. Our liaisons work to ensure outstanding service for both referring providers and their patients.

The physician liaison is a resource for all providers outside UF Health, whether you're getting in touch with UF Orthopaedic Surgery & Sports Medicine for the first time or have an ongoing relationship with us and our providers. Provider liaisons work closely with UF Orthopaedic’s clinical areas to bring the most up-to-date, relevant information to referring providers and their staff members.

The physician liaisons in our office can:

  • Visit you: We'll travel to your office to discuss the referral process, provide any necessary training, share relevant referral materials and contact information, and answer any questions you have about referring patients to UF Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine.
  • Arrange a UF Orthopaedic’s physician visit: A UF Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine physician can visit your office to meet you and your colleagues and discuss your specialties and expertise. This also provides us an opportunity to learn more about your practice and how we can collaborate to provide optimal care for mutual patients.
  • Connecting the Sports Community:
Travel ball, youth sports organizations, gyms, pickleball groups, golf communities, and local high schools.  Receive the same great care that the Florida Gator Student athletes receive.
  • New Services and Payor Information:
  • Provide information about continuing medical education: Get the latest details on our Grand Rounds presentations and Continuing Medical Education. We can arrange for a UF Orthopaedics physician to give a talk to your Faculty and Staff for CMU / CEU credit.
  • Latest Research & Clinical Trials: We can help you locate information about our trials, including how to enroll.
  • Listen to your feedback: How was your experience interacting with UF Orthopaedics? And how was your patient's experience? Let us know what went smoothly and how we can improve.
