About Samantha Gurrieri
Sam is a certified Athletic Trainer and recent graduate from the University of Delaware where she earned her BS in Sports Health and MSAT. Sam is currently pursuing her DAT while working as a Resident Athletic Trainer for UFs Outreach program. She will be doing her concentration in Teaching and Leadership to further explore her passion for education. During her time at UD, Sam has been involved in numerous extracurriculars including founding and serving as president of the Iota Alpha chapter of the professional Kinesiology fraternity, Phi Epsilon Kappa, as well as serve as class representative for two years, and serve as president of the Athletic Training Student Association. As far as her teaching experience goes, Sam has been a teaching assistant for undergraduate sports health students, as well as TA for the Advanced Gross Anatomy and Cadaver Lab for two semesters. Clinically, Sam has completed full semester rotations with UD Women’s Ice Hockey, Men’s Basketball, Men’s Lacrosse, Dance, and a high school rotation.
Aside from her passion for AT and teaching, Sam enjoys spending time with family and friends whenever she can. Sam was born and raised in Wanaque NJ, where she played competitive soccer her whole life and discovered her passion for sports medicine. Alongside her four siblings, Sam also grew a passion for music. In her free time, she enjoys playing the guitar and piano as well as singing.
Sam is very excited to begin her outreach position as a Resident Athletic Trainer for Bell Middle/High School. She intends to continue learning and pouring her best work into her student-athletes. She is enthusiastic about investing in herself here at UF and becoming the clinician she has always wanted to be.
