Laura Ann Zdziarski, ATC, received a research grant from the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) in late June of 2015, to support her doctoral research in the Rehabilitation Sceince Doctoral (RSD) Program entitled “Incorporating athletic trainers into an orthopaedic trauma care team to improve patient’s functional and emotional profile.” Laura Ann will be completing her dissertation work in 2016-2017. Dr. MaryBeth Horodyski, Ed.D., ATC, LAT, FNATA has been selected by the National Athletic Trainers' Association Foundation to be the recipient of the 2014 NATA Volunteer Service award. This award is given to a current NATA Foundation board member, committee member or volunteer who has provided significant advancement or financial growth to the organization.
Dr. MaryBeth Horodyski will be receiving two honors at the 63rd Annual National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA) Meeting in June in St. Louis. She will be the recipient of the Gail Weldon Award of Excellence. This award recognizes one athletic trainer each year who has displayed an exceptional commitment to mentoring, professional development and life balancing.
