What can I say. My first replacement 9 years. Ago was with Dr. Imes and he was great and when he informed me that he was leaving I asked him if he was getting a replacement done who would he have do it and he said Dr. Saavedra. So if he recommends his teacher to do his replacement then that was going wanted. Dr. Saavedra has treated me like I was his only patient and made me feel like he really cares about my outcome. Great person and listens to me. Explains when I ask questions where I can understand. I never had a doctor in Tallahassee treat me like this except for my primary.

It started with the nurse who upon seening my surgeon's name on the paperwork said she was surprised I was even there for a consultation because he was a good doctor. I knew the appointment wasn't going to go well after that point. I asked for referral from my surgeon when I didn't heal properly and he said he didn't know it was wrong with me. I didn't know he would refer me to someone that would back him up 100% and tell me I just had to live with my condition. I see stories all the time of professional athletes getting procedures like scar tissue removal, why isn't that made available to the average person like me?

Another Dr in CA was encouraging total knee replacement, but Dr Prieto suggested the possibility of a partial knee replacement since only one side of knee was affected—less pain, less recovery time. From the scheduler to the online pre op and in house pre op prep thru the surgery and post op assistance to help with a same day discharge, every staff member was genuinely caring and professional. The continuation with home Healthcare was seamless , the prompt response to a need for additional medication was most appreciated and the availability of the walk in Ortho clinic was absolutely wonderful to have in my hour of need. As a high risk 79 yr old patient who can now continue with an active lifestyle without having to deal with daily pain, I am so grateful to Dr. Prieto and to everyone from the anesthesiologists and surgical staff to the nurses and assistants and physical therapists for the excellent care and helpful follow-up that helped me progress thru the stages of recovery. They are the best!

The nurse and doctor were very informative and helpful. They were kind and understanding. I’m not sure why the PA was necessary. I felt more like she was interrogating me rather than asking me questions and trying to relate to my health issues. She also let me know that it takes a lot to “get everyone together “ to be there for my appointment, so I shouldn’t really waste anyone’s time making an appointment when I failed to do exactly what was asked of me.. even though I tried to conform to directions given.. that made me feel pretty bad.
