About Michael Talerico

Michael Talerico, MD, is a clinical assistant professor in the department of orthopaedic surgery and sports medicine at the University of Florida College of Medicine.

Dr. Talerico received his medical degree from Saint Louis University School of Medicine. He completed an internship in general surgery and orthopaedic surgery at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where he remained to complete his residency in orthopaedic surgery, and served as administrative chief resident in his fifth year.

He went on to complete an accredited fellowship in orthopaedic traumatology advanced clinical experience at Harborview Medical Center, affiliated with the University of Washington. Before joining the University of Florida College of Medicine, Dr. Talerico was employed at the CORE Institute in Phoenix and served as a clinical assistant professor in the department of orthopaedics at the University of Arizona in Phoenix.

Dr. Talerico has earned multiple national awards and accolades over the years, including the AO North America Davos International fellowship in 2017. He is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the Orthopedic Trauma Association, and AO North America. Dr. Talerico serves as a reviewer for the Journal of Orthopaedic Trauma.

Outstanding. Would have been nice to see the x-rays this time, but the fracture is healed and that's the important thing.

I tell you what.. My Dr and his assistant Kayla was great..I have high Anxiety they made me feel like family..right at home.. Great humans
