About Kirsten Norrell
Dr. Kirsten Norrell, MD, is a clinical assistant professor of pediatric orthopaedic surgery in the department of orthopaedic surgery at the University of Florida. She earned my medical degree from George Washington University in Washington, D.C. Following medical school, Dr. Norrell completed orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Missouri Kansas City and then completed her fellowship in pediatric orthopaedic surgery at Stanford Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital in Palo Alto, California.
Dr. Norrell's passion for pediatric orthopaedic surgery comes from her desire to provide children every opportunity to participate in the activities they enjoy. Her interests include developmental hip dysplasia, neuromuscular disorders such as cerebral palsy, clubfoot, limb deformity and trauma. She is also involved in global health initiatives including yearly medical trips to Ecuador that provide much needed care for children with complex deformities.
In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Norrell is very interested in education and mentoring. She encourages medical students and residents to get involved with research projects because of her passion about understanding the best treatment options for my patients and sharing the importance of research with the next generation of physicians.

Bright was the nurse that night and she was so awesome she took her time she listened to me she actually made the cast more comfortable for me because she was concerned about where it was putting blisters on me and rubbing bruises on me and she made it very very comfortable for me and nobody up there is ever done that so she just was really totally awesome she was all ears to what I had to say and she had a great personality a great bedside Manner and she was just so awesome and I think you guys should put her as employee of the month because no one up there has ever treating me that good I mean everybody treats me good very good but she really went the extra mile for me and I really appreciate that

I liked how the doctor listened to our concerns and our preferred treatment and went with our preferred treatment. You don't find too many doctors who listen and at least take it into consideration
