A former University of Florida baseball player, Jeff came to Gainesville back in 1997 and never left. A 3 year starter for the Gators as a pitcher, his playing days were cut short by a shoulder injury, forcing the cleats to be hung up forever. He has stayed very active in the sports world however as he is the Voice of Gator baseball on the radio and also broadcasts many of the other UF Athletics. You can also find him coaching various sports throughout Gainesville and passing along his passion to the younger generation.

After managing the city of Gainesville’s Ironwood’s Golf Course for more than 20 years, Jeff joined the UF Health team in 2023 as the Business Development Regional Manager for UF Health Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine. His role is to connect the Sports Community throughout North Central Florida to the Health Care Team and is dedicated to the highest standards of treating patients properly. From any kind of sprain or strain, elbow, foot, or joint pain, he will connect you with award winning physicians to get you back to playing in no time.

In his limited time at UF Health, Jeff has built relationships with Athletic Directors, Middle and High School Coaches, Travel Ball Teams, Parents, professional athletes, and administrators to streamline the referral process and help navigate the diverse needs and expectations of patients and their families. He can also connect organizations with physicians and athletic trainers for educational talks to speak on various topics from arm care and a slew of sports injuries to heat related illness, concussions, etc… to ensure safety in any kind of physical activity.

Jeff’s interpersonal skills and care for patients enables him to connect you with the right specialists from the start, eliminating extra visits and saving important time for athletes as they work to get back to playing and performing at a high level. Jeff has seen first hand the work of the Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine Department and the care they gave him, former teammates, and athletes he has broadcasted for. His goal now is to make sure that sports enthusiasts from children to older adults throughout North Central Florida can be assured that they will be treated with expert care by the same doctors that treat the University of Florida Gators student athletes.

When not at work, you can find Jeff supporting many of the local charities at some kind of function, golfing, or just hanging out with any of his 3 kids at one of their events around town.
