The OSMI welcomes Lisa Taitsman, MD, MPH, from the Harborview Medical Center at the University of Washington, in Seattle, Washington.  Dr. Taitsman will be presenting a talk to faculty and residents entitled, "Open Questions about Open Fractures."

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  1. Differentiate between open fracture management strategies that are based on tradition, based on expert opinion, and those based on data.
  2. Critically evaluate their current open fracture management strategies.
  3. Identify areas of potential improvement in patient care in terms of open fracture management.
