The OSMI welcomes John "Tony" Herring, MD, from Texas Scotish Rite Hospital for Children, located in Dallas, Texas.  Dr. Herring will be presenting a talk to faculty and residents entitled, "No Limits; The Remarkable Adaptability of Kids."

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Recognize conditions which are best managed by elective amputation.
  • Understand how to educate patients and families as to the advantages of amputation for their particular disorder.
  • Prescribe appropriate prostheses, sporting activities, and life enhancing endeavors for individuals with limb deficiencies.
