The UF Health Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine Institute is proud to be hosting our second annual Heat, Heart and Head Sports Medicine Symposium on August 2, 2014.

The focus of this symposium is to educate coaches and their staff on the three most deadly sports conditions: heat illness, sudden cardiac death and concussion. Our physicians will address the signs and symptoms associated with each condition as well as how to most effectively treat them and determine return to play. We are also pleased to announce that we will have two staff members from the University of Florida Sports Health staff speaking on the importance of strengthening/conditioning and nutrition in a "Training to Win" section.

This is a FREE educational opportunity for school and youth sports coaches, athletic directors and athletic trainers. It will provide valuable, life-saving information. Lunch will be provided.
