It was inevitable with it’s thirteenth year that Hand's to Love's Hand Camp (which took place during March 15-17, 2013) would set records for number of hugs, laughs, tears, and most importantly smiles. Families coming from 12 different states, from as far as Alaska to as close as down the road, embarked on a common "Noble Quest to Inspire", this year's theme.
Dr. Jay King, OSMI ASES Fellow, has been selected as a finalist in the Fellows Research Competition for the Florida Orthopaedics Society (FOS). He will present his abstract, entitled "Is Humeral Component Cementation Necessary In Reverse Total Shoulder Arthroplasty?" during the 2013 FOS Annual Meeting.
Dr. Tom Wright, MD, has been selected by the residents as this year's 'Teacher of the Year.' The residents would like to thank him for his dedication and self-sacrifice toward promoting education in the field of orthopaedics.
Dr. Mark Scarborough and Dr. Tom Wright were recently published in the Spring 2012 issue of House Calls. This publication is distributed by the Alachua County Medical Society.
