Two researchers from the UF Orthopaedics Sports Medicine Institute (OSMI) Gene Therapy Laboratory won awards for their poster submissions in the UF Health Cancer Center Poster Day held at the UF Hilton Conference Center on March 11, 2014:

• Ali Zarezadeh's (Post-Doctoral Fellow) poster was entitiled, "Proteasome Inhibitors Induce Differentiation , Cell Cycle Arrest and Apoptosis in Osteosarcoma".
• Viktoria Hyddmark's (PhD Candidate) poster was entitled, “ Modulation of Osteosarcoma Tumorigenicity through Treatment with Epigenetic Modifiers”.

Both researchers were awarded a $1,000 cash prize for their submissions.  They are mentored by Dr. Parker Gibbs, MD.
