The OSMI welcomes Dr. Joseph M Failla, MD, from the Center for Hand and Extremity Reconstructive Surgery in Southfield, Michigan. Dr. Failla will be presenting a talk to faculty and residents entitled, "Staying Out of Trouble in Hand Surgery."

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  1. Identify the sources of error in the preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative care of Hand Surgery patients.
  2. Choose and design treatment methods to increase patient satisfaction and the quality of care.
  3. Review outcomes and methods to prevent errors in the office and operating rooms.
