About Tiffani Frizzell

Tiffani Frizzell serves as the Head Athletic Trainer for Crystal River High School in Citrus County. As the first full-time ATC at Crystal River High School, one of her primary roles, aside from providing medical coverage for all Crystal River High School sporting events, is educating coaches, athletes, and parents on the role of an athletic trainer. It is Tiffani’s goal to lay a solid foundation for future athletic trainers in Citrus County to be successful in providing the best care possible to their assigned sites.

Tiffani received her Bachelor’s of Science in Kinesiology (Athletic Training) from Louisiana State University in 2015. While at LSU, Tiffani worked as a student with LSU Track and Field/Cross Country, LSU Gymnastics, and LSU Football. Going into her senior year, she was chosen for a summer internship with LSU Football that is awarded to two seniors of the LSU Undergraduate Athletic Training Cohort. Following graduation, Tiffani served as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer at Florida Atlantic University. While at FAU Tiffani worked primarily with FAU Softball and FAU Women’s Basketball. In 2016, Tiffani traveled with FAU Women’s Basketball to British Columbia, Canada, and Seattle, Washington, for the team’s summer international tour. After graduating from FAU in 2017 with a Masters in Exercise Science and Health Promotion, Tiffani returned to Louisiana where she served as an Associate Athletic Trainer at LSU Laboratory School (University High). University High served as an outreach site for LSU's Undergraduate Athletic Training Students. Tiffani spent two years with University High before taking a position with Ochsner Sports Medicine Institute of Baton Rouge. Tiffani served as the Head Athletic Trainer at Brusly High School through Ochsner’s Athletic Training Outreach Program. Tiffani was Brusly High School’s first ever full-time athletic trainer and implemented the high school’s flagship student athletic training program for high school students interested in sports medicine. For the last two years, Tiffani worked as a research coordinator for one of the country’s leading surgeons in ACL reconstruction. This study is ongoing with Ochsner’s current research team.

Tiffani is a Board-Certified Athletic Trainer, an American Heart Association BLS Provider, a certified M1 Graston Technician, a certified Performance Enhancement Specialist, a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association, Louisiana Athletic Trainers Association, and Athletic Trainers Association of Florida.
