Spok Mobile app Basic Training

First Time Use

The very first time you initiate a message on Spok Mobile (ComNet Mobile), you will be prompted for a username and password.  Please provide your credentials as follows:

  • Username: 8-digit UFID number
  • Password: 8-digit UFID number

Compose a New Message

  • Open the app.
  • Select the new message icon.
  • Search the directory by first or last name. For searches of common names, include more characters in your search to lessen the returned results.
  • Select your recipient(s) from the search results. Please note that only individuals who have Spok Mobile (ComNet Mobile) are searchable in the app.
  • Begin typing your message in the Compose Message field.
  • Select the send icon to send your message.

Reply to a Message

  • Open the app.
  • Open an existing message string.
  • Begin typing your message in the Compose Message field.
  • Select the send icon to send your message.

Attaching Photos Securely

Please note: To ensure the security and confidentiality of the photos, always take the photo from inside the app rather then merely attaching an existing photo taken with your phone's standard camera app.

  • Open the app.
  • Begin a new message or begin a reply to an existing message.
  • Select the paperclip icon.
  • Select Capture Image.
  • Take your desired photo.
  • Select the send icon.
