
Profile Information
Dr. Luis Pulido is a board certified and fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in hip and knee replacement surgery as well as hip preservation surgery. He grew up in Medellin, Colombia and received his medical degree from Universidad CES. He then went on to complete a postdoctoral research fellowship at the Rothman Institute in Philadelphia. P.A. Dr. Pulido completed an orthopaedic surgery residency followed by a fellowship in hip and knee adult reconstruction surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. After completing his joint replacement fellowship, Dr. Pulido did the Hip Society’s M.E. Müller European fellowship in hip reconstruction where he learned surgical techniques in hip preservation and joint replacement from Europe’s best surgeons.
Dr. Pulido joins the University of Florida to work in the department of Orthopaedics and the division of joint replacement surgery. His areas of expertise include minimally invasive hip and knee replacement surgery, complex revision surgery, management of infection and periprosthetic fractures. Dr. Pulido’s clinical interests include the comprehensive management of hip disorders including minimally invasive anterior hip replacement surgery, open hip preservation surgery, periacetabular osteotomy for adult hip displasia. Dr. Pulido is a caring physician who is fluent in both Spanish and English.
