The UF Sports Performance Center is offering free body composition testing for children (grade 3, or minimum weight 55 pounds, through high school grade 12). This free and easy test provides important information about your child’s body fat percentage and fat free weight percentage. An informative handout about the results and guidelines for healthy diet and activity levels are provided after the test. Our mission is to help empower you and your child about how to maintain a healthy weight, healthy bones and muscles and fight childhood obesity!

Join respected University of Florida Orthopaedic physicians for a free luncheon seminar focused on caring for your bones, joints and muscles. The luncheon will feature mini, interactive sessions allowing those of all ages to learn more about the latest innovations and treatments related to bone and joint care. Topics also include discussions on advancements in hip and knee replacements, management of the spine and orthopaedic oncology.

Every element of the Shands Cancer Hospital at UF reflects a commitment to patients, families, visitors and staff. The state-of-the-art hospital will house 192 private inpatient beds for a variety of patients, including those receiving diagnostic and therapeutic oncology services.
