The University of Florida has a history of outstanding athletics and a reputation for excellence in medicine. The UF Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship combines elements of both to create an outstanding educational experience for the sports medicine fellow. This ACGME accredited fellowship adds to the Department of Community Health and Family Medicine's long legacy of excellence in education.

This fellowship involves working with the athletic teams here at UF as well as the faculty at Orthopaedics and the Sports Physicians from Family Medicine. Starting in 2012, one slot will be reserved for a PM&R trained fellow. Continuity clinics in EMG/NCS will be a component of the training. The Sports fellowship will also incorporate ultrasound guided injections. This fellowship represents a unique offering for PM&R trained residents in that it will involve Sports participation at a level unlike any other offering in our field. For those wanting focused MSK and Sports training, it offers a great opportunity.
